INTRODUCTION

Statement of the Problem

The main problem of the study is to determine which between the Hollow-block substrate and PVC-pipe substrate is more efficient for coral transplantation in Barangay San Juan, Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

In this regard, the researchers are determined to answer the following questions:

1.      What is the growth rate of the coral transplants of the two different substrates in the protected sanctuary during a specified elapsed time?

2.      What is the mortality rate of the coral transplants of the two different substrates in the protected sanctuary during a specified elapsed time?

3.      Is there a significant difference in the growth rate of the coral transplants in the two different substrates?

4.      Is there a significant difference in the mortality rate of the coral transplants in the two different substrates?
